Government Accountability Project (GAP)

The GAP amplifies the voices of marginalised communities demanding better public services. We use community scorecards (CSC) to audit public service delivery and based on that data, we help communities push for change by engaging the relevant authorities. For example, in 2021, we used CSC to conduct social audits on water service delivery in the Greater Banjul Area (GBA) and discovered that communities like Bakoteh were paying more for their water supply compared to other settlements in the GBA.
