Good governance is the only way to build a thriving nation, one which provides its citizens with a high quality of life and the infrastructure for individual and collective growth. But good governance is not possible without citizen participation, transparency and the general values of democracy. The Gambia is grappling with the grossly detrimental impact of its recent history with dictatorship and the residues of a socio-political culture which must be unlearned for an active democracy to thrive. Our purpose therefore, is to aid the unlearning process, enable the environment for a functional democracy and establish good governance through citizen education, citizen participation and innovative tools for government accountability.
